Meet Gio
Behind Moodita is Giovanni (Gio), a certified coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), a Senior Practitioner with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council, and a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher-in-training under Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield at UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center.
Gio brings over 14 years of experience navigating high-impact corporate environments, including a decade at BlackRock and earlier as a consultant at the Big 4 firms. His work has focused on advancing governance and sustainability through active dialogue with corporate boards and policymakers, while also championing mental health as a global meditation facilitator and workplace wellbeing ambassador.
Curiosity has been central to Gio’s personal and professional journey, deepened through mindfulness practice. As he cultivated awareness through meditation, he developed a spirit of inquiry into unconscious cultural conditioning and racial awareness, bringing greater compassion and inclusivity to his leadership and coaching. This exploration has also led him to travel across diverse circles of society, from indigenous communities to marginalised groups, learning from different perspectives and lived realities. These experiences have deepened his understanding of how class, gender, race, and other dimensions of identity can shape access to opportunities and resources for those on the margins.
Today, Gio supports leaders and ambitious professionals at every stage of their careers to unlock their potential and step confidently into what’s next, through transformational coaching grounded in purpose, authenticity, and mindful leadership.
